Fitzroy Gate

A complicated brief if ever there was one. Containing a mixture of Listed Buildings and new build flats, this site in Old Isleworth is the centrepiece of a larger development. The Grade II Listed White House built in 1832 has been sensitively converted to provide six imposing apartments. The chapel was converted to four 3 storey houses, created by dividing the space vertically, whilst retaining all the external period features, including stained glass windows. The stable block was converted to four mews houses and the whole ensemble was linked by nine new apartments. These are set in a fully landscaped parkland with planting and a lawn sweeping down to the banks of the Thames, retaining the original brick wall, circling the seven acre grounds and creating the sense of a secret garden.
