Montague House

Montague Road, one of the best addresses on Richmond Hill, comprises large elegant Victorian houses. Our brief was to create a family home with a self-contained flat in the basement. This property was carefully designed to sit comfortably in the Conservation Area using the tall proportions and strong front gable typical of this street, while using a contemporary palette. A highly efficient timber panel construction system was employed, allowing the main house to be erected within a fortnight.
